Kapil has nearly 18 years of experience in the field of M&A, Insolvency Law, Business Valuations & Arbitration support in India. He is a Registered Valuer and has been involved in various matters including valuation for the first financial services company (Assets worth over USD 5 Billion) referred to IBC by the Reserve Bank of India. Kapil acts as an expert on Arbitration matters, DRT auctions and non core asset divestments by large corporates.
Kapil has been involved in valuation of several companies spread across multiple sectors under the provisions of the companies act and SEBI. He has also valued various Intangibles (Brands/Trademarks, Licenses and Know how) and also has valued Arbitration claims of EPC companies. He has worked at senior roles in companies like RBSA, JLL, ICRA and Assetz in his professional career and has been involved across corporate finance practices like valuation, restructuring, M&A and disinvestments. Kapil is also a valuation faculty with ICMARVO and member of the Peer Review Board for the RVO.
Kapil is a commerce graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce, has a degree in Law and a post graduate degree in Finance from DU. Kapil is certified with High Honors in Advanced Valuation from NYU Stern University and also has FSA Credential from IFRS Foundation (IFRS/SASB). He holds a diploma in Islamic Finance Qualification from SII (UK) and certification in Alternate Dispute Resolution from Indian Law Institute. He is a member with Independent Director Databank to provide his services to promote sustainability and ESG in Indian Corporates.
